| Human driver performance model |
| Reference Number: FRAV-07-10 |
|
Document FRAV-07-10 presents a human driver performance model transmitted by experts of Japan. Risk perception time against cut-in by other vehicle averaged 0.8 seconds in the first trial and 0.4 seconds in subsequent trials. Braking delay is 0.75 seconds. Max. deceleration G-force for trained drivers is 0.774 G, achieved within 0.6 seconds. Risk perceived boundary by lateral movement is defined as 0.375 meters based on wandering width. Time to Collision of 2.0 seconds defines the emergency braking area boundary per WP.29/1091/Add.1 guidelines. |
