63. The experts from Norway delivered a presentation on frontal protection of buses (informal document GRSP-78-09). They provided answers to the questions that GRSP had posed during their presentation in the previous session and updated the group on recent developments. They highlighted the importance of this topic for their country and for other stakeholders. They also summarized the results from a simulation study. Finally they announced their intention to organize a digital session in early 2026 for interested experts and to propose a new task force in the June 2026 session of GRSP. The expert from IRU supported the initiative, announced his intention to participate in the digital session and added that even if there were relatively few accidents involving bus drivers, they had higher consequences than other similar accidents.
