25. The expert from the Russian Federation introduced informal document GRSP-76-05, reiterating his proposal to identify electric vehicles with a sticker. The expert from OICA stated that this proposal was more of a concern for regional products and reminded GRSP about the accident emergency call system, regulated by UN Regulation No. 144, that provides backup in accident situations. The expert from the Russian Federation argued that in many regions of the world internet was not available (e.g. Central Asia) and that the cost of a sticker was 1 euro, and encouraged contracting parties to provide their opinion on this subject. GRSP agreed to resume discussion on this subject at its May 2025 session.
