The expert from CLEPA presented GRVA-09-06, introducing ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRVA/2020/21, as amended by GRVA-09-05, providing provisions for the type approval of trucks equipped with electromechanical brakes. He clarified that no trailer with electromechanical brakes was considered in the proposal. He explained the benefits of such system for hybrid electric and electric vehicles. He acknowledged that further work was needed to develop Periodic Technical Inspection and electric storage devices requirements.

99. GRVA agreed to review a revised proposal based on GRVA-09-05, as formal document, at its next session.
