Engine fire suppression: Proposal for a new UN Regulation

Proposal for a new UN Regulation on the type approval of vehicles and systems with regard to fire suppression systems designed to reduce the risk of Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosions (BLEVE) to support the fitment of such systems to vehicles transporting dangerous goods (ADR vehicles). Japan abstained from the vote to adopt.
This proposal (WP.29/2026/38) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 0 applying UN R181 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-four voted in favor with zero against and one abstaining.
