29 Jun UN R10: Input from the Netherlands (Netherlands) EMC-53-10 2026-06-29 The Netherlands proposes introducing a separate part 2 addressing immunity-related functionality on lateral movement for steer-by-wire and automated driving systems. Harmonics should be tested when issues are observed; in the cited example, step sizes above and below 745–755 MHz and harmonic frequencies at 1500 MHz and 375 MHz require testing. UN R10 should address specific immunity features across multiple UN Regulations, or references should be moved to individual regulations. Test procedures for complex systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire require improvement, including clearer protocols and discussion of specialized technical units. Dwell time must be sufficient to observe all potential fail criteria in agreement between manufacturer and technical service. Antenna switching during testing at 3m versus 10m positions should be forbidden. EMC shielding must be robust and durable, excluding non-integral ferrite blocks and loose components, with critical details recorded in test reports. Netherlands
9 Aug 2019 UN R10: Proposal for amendments (Netherlands) GRE/2019/27 2019-08-09 Proposal to require that the vehicle manufacturer's statement regarding frequency bands, power levels, antenna positions and installation provisions for the installation of radio frequency transmitters (RF-transmitters) be added to the information document (e.g. under item 63, Annex 2A) to facilitate conformity of production and other compliance checks. Netherlands

This proposal is also subject to the consent of the Working Party on Lighting and Light-Signalling (GRE). Netherlands
8 Mar 2023 UN R157: Proposal for a supplement to the original version and to the 01 series of amendments (Netherlands) GRVA/2023/8 2023-03-08 Proposal to align the text with the guidelines on UN regulatory procedures and transitional provisions in UN Regulations (document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/1044/Rev.3). Under the guidelines, a UN Regulation (in this case, UN R157) making reference to the provisions of another UN Regulation (in this case, UN R10) shall not require actual approval to that UN regulation but simply refer to the provisions of that UN Regulation.
