Proposal for Supplement 1 to the 03 Series of Amendments to UN R125 (Forward Field of Vision), amending and superseding ECE/TRANS/GRSG/2026/8. The proposal introduces provisions for vehicles of categories X and Y, and vehicles equipped with an Automated Driving System (ADS). Vehicles of category Y without a driver are exempt from the Regulation. For vehicles of category X with manual driving modes, different provisions apply depending on operation method: remote-control operation is exempt; seated operation follows general provisions; and on-board operation not using a driver's seat may use alternative requirements demonstrating equivalent safety levels.
