Revision 3, Amendment 3 of UN R107 deletes all references to Regulation No. 66 on the strength of the superstructure of buses and coaches. This proposal would delete a further reference not originally specified in Amendment 3.

Proposal to revise the text of document GRSG-107-25 on fire suppression systems to ensure that the provisions can be applied fully to natural gas and/or hydrogen-powered vehicles.

UN R107 includes a provision to prevent a folding seat used by the crew from obstructing the view of the exterior rear-view mirror. In light of the proposed amendment to introduce camera-monitor systems into UN R46 (indirect vision), this proposal would extend the same treatment to CMS used in the place of rear view mirrors.

Proposal from the GRSG task force on Automated Vehicles Regulation Screening to enable the application of UN R107 to ADS vehicles, including exemptions of vehicles of subcategories X and/or Y from certain provisions concerning manual driving, attention to non-DDT tasks otherwise performed by the driver, introduction of provisions for “ADS features to type 1 and type 2”, and to update provisions concerning the running mass and occupants.
