Proposal to introduce a Front Zero-Speed Indicator (FZSI) system on motor vehicles to signal complete vehicle stops to vulnerable road users. The system activates exclusively when vehicle speed equals 0 km/h and deactivates when speed exceeds 0 km/h. A horizontal light strip of minimum 30 cm width positioned at the upper windshield edge or front roofline provides the signal. Primary color is red (wavelength 620–750 nm); secondary option is high-luminance turquoise or green if required by applicable legislation. Brightness adjusts automatically via ambient light sensors. The system integrates with existing vehicle CAN-bus networks and serves as direct communication for autonomous vehicles.
