Proposal for Supplement 3 to UN Regulation No. 134
Proposal to
align the regulation with legislation of the European Union, United States of America, and Japan,
clarify the test procedure, including ambient temperature provisions,
reduce unnecessary time and cost demands of the
COP
test procedures,
apply the minimum burst pressure BP
min
as the pressure limit in the hydrostatic pressure rupture test for
COP
batch testing, and
delete the phrase “and in no case less than the value necessary to meet the stress ratio requirements” erroneously introduced into paragraph 9.3.2.1.

This proposal (WP.29/2017/127) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-eight Contracting Parties out of the 53 applying UN R134 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-eight voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
