Proposal to allow the use of changeable “light source modules” instead of non-replaceable light sources (pursuant to the amendments previously agreed for UN R7).

The amendment to paragraph 2.9.3. of Regulation No. 48 (Supplement 3 to the 02 series of amendments) introduced into the definition of the illuminating surface of a retro-reflector the reference to the declaration of this surface by the applicant during type approval of the device. This proposal amends UN R3 to provide for this procedure.
