Regulation mock-up to show how a set of related UN lighting regulations currently in use could be consolidated within a single regulation as part of the overall simplification of lighting regulations.

A mock-up for the proposed regulation consolidating the current forward lighting device regulations, illustrating how the application of the device subparts would be shown in the “Status of the 1958 Agreement” registry of applications, approval authorities, and technical services. The approach would be to add a column listing the lighting functions for which each Contracting Parties accepts/issues approvals.

Discussion paper on the possibility to group lighting regulations under one of three new regulations as follows:

1. Light Signaling Devices incorporating Regulations 4, 6, 7, 23, 38, 50, 77, 87, and 91
2. Forward Lighting Devices incorporating Regulations 19, 98, 112, 123, and 119

Package of proposals and submissions for the amendment of the light source regulations (UN R37, 99, and 128) as part of the restructuring of lighting regulations.

Comments and proposal concerning an approach for restructuring the lighting equipment regulations within the context of the proposal to consolidate the current regulations around three poles: Common provisions for forward lighting, light-signalling and retro-reflecting devices.
