SLR | Session 7 | 15-16 Dec 2015 |
- Structure for a new regulation to group a number of existing regulations The meeting observed that the proposed approach is good but will work only when the DETA database will be operative. It was agreed to focus with priority on the Light Signalling devices (i.e. Regulations 4, 6, 7, 23, 38, 77, 87, 91) and the Forward Lighting devices (i.e. Regulations 19, 98, 112, 123, 119), identified respectively as “NEW1” and “NEW2” in document SLR-07-07. It was also agreed to move all the definitions from the draft resolution document (SLR-07-04) to Regulation 48. Mr. de Visser introduced a revised light sources package, updated following the 74th GRE session. This comprehensive package includes the draft simplified regulations (namely R-37, R-99, R-128 and an extensive justification), the draft resolution on the common specification of light source categories and additional documents to better understand the huge work done and the modifications made to the texts. During the discussion of the draft resolution document (namely “SLR-07-04 – rev of GRE-2015-28 – draft resolution.docx”), the meeting agreed to move Par. 2.2.1 between Par. 3 and 3.1 and to delete Par. 2.2 as follows: During the discussion of the draft simplified regulations, the meeting agreed to indicate the definitions of filament, gas-discharge and LED light sources in the resolution document only. Regulations will refer to them like for the R.E.3. Mr. de Visser will produce a final package for submission to the 75th GRE session (this is now available as document SLR-07-11). This item was not discussed. It will stay on the agenda for reference. |
