Updated proposal to clarify various technical provisions as developed by the Technical Services Group (TSG) on Regulation No. 44.

The present requirement for booster with belt guides for the diagonal belt is more stringent than for boosters without belt guides. This proposal aligns the requirement for belt disengagement with the requirements for other child restraint systems ((e.g. the displacement criteria and the criteria as indicated in Annex 15, para. 6.2.4.) and at the same time proposes new language to clarify the affected text.

Proposal to align UN R44 with UN R129 with respect to the references to European standard EN 71:2009 (which specifies safety requirements for toys, especially with regard to chemical composition, flammability, and other mechanical and physical properties).

Presentation on the promising results of research into the use of shield systems to secure children in child seats.
