The present requirement for booster with belt guides for the diagonal belt is more stringent than for boosters without belt guides. This proposal aligns the requirement for belt disengagement with the requirements for other child restraint systems ((e.g. the displacement criteria and the criteria as indicated in Annex 15, para. 6.2.4.) and at the same time proposes new language to clarify the affected text.
24. GRSP considered and adopted GRSP-55-01-Rev.1, GRSP-55-02 and GRSP-55-33, as reproduced in Annex IV to the GRS 55th session report, updating provisions of UN Regulation No. 44. The secretariat was requested to submit the three proposals combined, to WP.29 and AC.1, for consideration and vote at their November 2014 sessions as draft Supplement 9 to the 04 series of amendments to the UN Regulation.
