Text prepared by the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in response to the proposal (document GRE/2013/13) from France and Germany to implement direction indicator lamps with a variable apparent surface into UN Regulation No. 6.

Italy proposes to introduce into each Regulation dealing with the type approval of lighting or light signalling devices a direct reference to the requirements contained in Regulations 48, 53 and 74, and 86, mandating the lamp manufacturers to apply them to obtain type approvals.
