Proposal for amendments as sent to GRE for consideration at its October 2017 session in order to update definitions and references in light of the new simplified architecture for lighting regulations. The text was prepared by the informal group on the Simplification of Lighting Regulations (SLR) to group the definitions of existing UN Regulations dealing with lighting, light signalling, retro-reflective devices and installation into UN Regulation No. 48, except those which are specific for a device.
