Proposal drafted after the session to amend UN Regulation No. 154 to insert a new paragraph recognising vehicles of categories X and Y fitted with Automated Driving Systems, amend definitions including “Mass in running order”, “Powered axle”, “Reference mass”, “Driver User-selectable mode”, “Predominant mode”, and “Configurable start mode”, insert new definitions for “ADS road load determination mode” and “ADS testing mode”, amend the On-Board Diagnostic system definition, amend footnotes and tables relating to road load matrix families and OBD families, insert special provisions for vehicles of categories X and Y in road load determination and chassis dynamometer testing procedures, amend provisions for driver reagent warning and inducement systems, amend testing procedures in Annexes relating to pollutant emissions, CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, and electric energy consumption, insert requirements for ADS testing mode and ADS road load determination mode in Annexes A1, B4, B6, C3, and C4, and amend OBD system provisions in Annex C5 to account for ADS operation.
