The Chair of WP.29 reported on the presentation (WP.29-157-03) he had given at the sixteenth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Auto Dialogue (Kazan, 28-29 May 2012) in which he presented the World Forum as the recognized leader in the development of harmonized requirements on road vehicle safety and environmental protection.

82. The representative of the Russian Federation reported on the presentation (WP.29-158-14) given at the seventeenth APEC Automotive Dialogue (St. Petersburg, 30-31 October 2012) in which he underlined the role played by WP.29 on the harmonization of vehicle regulations.

83. WP.29 noted that APEC Auto Dialogue could be an excellent platform for promoting the activities of WP.29, could encourage the accession of APEC countries to the Agreements administered by the World Forum and offered its cooperation with APEC Auto Dialogue.
