Proposal to enable approval of an Enhanced Child Restraint System (ECRS) with a module that is, or can be, converted into a booster seat or an ECRS with a module of a vehicle-specific application.
29. The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands introduced informal document GRSP-76-19. The proposal was well received and he announced his intention to bring it to the next session of GRSP as a working document, incorporating the feedback received.
25. The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/4 with a proposal to extend the definition of a module, which had already been discussed in the previous session based on an informal document (see paragraph 29 of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/76).
26. Taking also into account the previous discussion and adoption in principle of informal documents GRSP-77-09, GRSP-77-10, GRSP-77-11 and GRSP-77-12 under agenda item 24 (b) (see paragraph 48), GRSP adopted informal document GRSP-77-12 together with ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/4 (as reproduced in annex V to the session report) and requested the secretariat to submit them as a proposal for supplement 3 to the 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 129 to the November 2025 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1.
77. Under agenda item 4.9.10, the secretariat informed WP.29 that the title of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/129 contained an error and should read “Proposal for supplement 4 to the 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 129 (Enhanced child restraint systems)”.
