On behalf of the Special Interest Group on Thermal Propagation Electric Vehicle Safety (SIG TP EVS), the expert from EC introduced a proposal for a new 05 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 100 aiming at the improved requirements concerning thermal propagation and approval of electric powered vehicles (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/18 and informal documents GRSP-76-08 and GRSP-76-39). The expert from OICA suggested modifying the proposal by extending the transitional provisions (informal document GRSP-76-34). Following an in-depth discussion, GRSP adopted the proposal as amended by informal document GRSP-76-08-Rev.1 and requested the secretariat to submit it for consideration and vote to WP.29 and AC.1 at their sessions in March 2025 as a proposal for a 05 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 100.
