Proposal to align UN R12 with the provisions of GTR 20 on post-crash electrical safety, the administrative provisions of Revision 3 to the 1958 Agreement. The amendments only impact the approval of vehicles with an electric power train operating at high voltage.
8. GRSP noted the proposal tabled by expert from the Netherlands ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2021/18 as amended by GRSP-70-31 to introduce requirements for post-crash electrical safety as was agreed for UN Regulation No. 94 (Frontal collision). GRSP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2021/18 as amended by Annex II to the session report. The secretariat was requested to submit the proposal as draft 05 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 12 (Steering mechanism) for consideration and vote at the June 2022 sessions of WP.29 and to the Administrative Committee of the 1958 Agreement (AC.1).
9. GRSP noted the proposal tabled by expert from the Netherlands (GRSP-69-08) to introduce requirements concerning post-crash electrical safety as was agreed for UN Regulation No. 94 (Frontal collision). GRSP requested the secretariat to distribute GRSP-69-08 with an official symbol at its December 2021 session, pending a further revision submitted by the expert of the Netherlands by the deadline for submission of official documents.
