For warning guidelines, the secretariat gave the outline of differences between the proposed amendments submitted by GRE (WP.29-153-01-TC) and the original draft (WP.29-150-22). Then the proposed amendments were discussed and their submission to WP.29 in June after finalization with the following amendments was approved.

  • ► To the third paragraph from the bottom on page 5, Russia proposed that this provision apply to new systems. Amendments should be made by adding examples to clarify its intent. OICA said that examples that should be exempt from this provision included safety belts.
  • ► For the addition to the second paragraph on page 9 (amendment related to paragraph 3.1), the opinions of GRSP should be reflected based on the amendments proposed by GRE.
  • ► For warning in the case of out-of-detection range of the device in the first paragraph on page 14, based on the opinion that malfunction is different from “not working” due to weather conditions or other factors, examples of “not working” should be described.
