The World Forum was informed by the secretariat about the initiative of the UNECE to launch, in cooperation with the other United Nations regional commissions; a new project funded by the United Nations Development Account (UNDA) aimed at: (a) raising awareness of the levels of CO2 emissions in the inland transport sector, (b) developing a web-based uniform tool for the monitoring and assessment of inland transport CO2 emissions including a transport policy converter and © organizing capacity building workshops in every United Nations region to improve the skills of users of the CO2 assessment tool. The secretariat was invited to keep the World Forum informed about the further work progress on this project.
