UN R149: Proposal for a Supplement 7 to the 01 series of amendments

Proposal to:
Clarify the marking requirements for headlamp functions,
Improve the accuracy of the instrumental aiming method, and
Delete provisions concerning use of the Unique Identifier pursuant to the WP.29 decision to change the approach to its application from use “by default” to use if specified in each regulation.
This proposal (WP.29/2026/35) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 61 applying UN R149 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
