23 Dec 2015 23 Dec 2015 | Depositary notifications issued for UN Regulations Agreement Concerning the Adoption of Uniform Technical Prescriptions for Wheeled Vehicles, Equipment and Parts which can be Fitted and/or be Used on Wheeled Vehicles and the Conditions for Reciprocal Recognition of Approvals Granted on the Basis of these Prescriptions The 1958 Agreement regulates the functioning of the international system for the recognition of type approvals under UN Regulations. The Agreement specifies how regulations are to be established and how the system operates whereby an approval under a given regulation accorded by one country can be accepted by all other countries applying that regulation. The program to establish an international system for whole vehicles (as opposed to the current focus on individual vehicle components and systems) includes an important restructuring of the 1958 Agreement. Revision 3 of the 1958 Agreement enters into force on 14 September 2017. 1958 Agreement 1958 Agreement United Nations Agreement 1958 Agreement, Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Vehicles with Regard to the Protection of the Driver Against the Steering Mechanism in the Event of Impact Steering Mechanism Steering Mechanism Impact Protection UN Regulation No. 12 UN R12, Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Vehicles with regard to their External Projections External Projections External Projections of Vehicles UN Regulation No. 26 UN R26, Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Vehicles with regard to the Speedometer Equipment Including its Installation Speedometer Equipment Speedometer Equipment UN Regulation No. 39 UN R39, Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Restraining Devices for Child Occupants of Power-driven Vehicles ("Child Restraint System") Child Restraint Systems Child Restraint Systems UN Regulation No. 44 UN R44, Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Devices for Indirect Vision and of Motor Vehicles with regard to the Installation of these Devices Indirect Vision Indirect Vision Devices UN Regulation No. 46 UN R46, Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of: I.
