Proposal to amend provisions concerning “temporarily modified view” for “automatic change of view”, permit temporary obstruction of view subject to conditions, delete related provisions under “deactivation” in order to allow systems providing enhanced visibility during manoeuvres, and clarify provisions under annex 9 (Test methods for close-proximity rear-view field of vision).
This proposal (WP.29/2024/12) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-eight Contracting Parties out of the 53 applying UN R158 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-eight voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
