Proposal for the 02 series of amendments to Regulation No. 110
Proposal to remove the provisions for welded constructions of compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders or metal liners, including high-strength steel CNG cylinders and consolidating the earlier proposal (from document WP.29/2015/90 that was adopted but set aside at the November 2015 WP.29 session pending the proposal on cylinder construction) to regulate the discharge direction of pressure relief devices on CNG containers.
This proposal (WP.29/2016/13) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 47 applying UN R110 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
