Proposal to amend the regulation frontal impacts with a view towards the establishment of a new regulation on frontal impact testing for occupant restraint systems (full width rigid barrier test). The proposal increases the thorax compression criterion (ThCC) stringency to 42 mm (from 50 mm), clarifies vehicle width definition, and amends REESS acronym definition.

This proposal (WP.29/2015/96), Not amended, was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-three Contracting Parties out of the 39 applying UN R94 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-three voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
