34. The expert from GTB presented a report on energy saving opportunities in automotive lighting (GRE-92-06), including reduction of the daytime running lamps (DRL) – passing-beam switching threshold, both DRL and passing beam adapted to the ambient illumination. The expert from GTB pointed out that an initial proposal would be submitted to the next session. GRE took note of the report and invited GRE experts to provide feedback on the identified energy saving opportunities.

35. GRE noted that Mr. T. Fujita (Japan) and Mr. M. Gorzkowski (SAE) would no longer attend GRE sessions. GRE thanked them for their extensive contributions to the GRE work over many years.
