In 2018, the effort to evaluate Deployable Pedestrian Protection Systems (DPPS) through a task force was reconstituted under this informal working group to develop regulatory specifications for test procedures and performance requirements. For the preliminary work prior to the establishment of this informal working group, users should consult the Task Force on Deployable Pedestrian Protection Systems. The purpose of this effort is to develop provisions under the pedestrian safety regulations GTR 9 (1998 Agreement) and UN R127 (1958 Agreement).
