Proposal to clarify Annex 3, table A3/1 regarding minimum type-approval requirements for Euro 6e, Euro 6e-bis, and Euro 6e-bis-FCM under UN R83 by specifying the relevant series of amendments for UN R24, R85, and R168, which were omitted when the 08 Series was created as no new amendments were anticipated at the time. A minor editorial correction is also included.

Proposal to delete two paragraphs relating to “Operating Mode Switch” that were overlooked when that concept was removed from Regulation No. 83, from both the manufacturer’s information document (Annex 1) and the approval certificate addendum (Annex 2). The same documentation requirements were removed from the 08 series of amendments (during GREP-93), differing only in paragraph numbering.

Proposal to correct several outdated references following structural changes to UN R154 (04 series of amendments), including updated appendix numbering in paragraphs 2.47, 2.48, and Annex 5, removal of “worst case certified energy consumption Part B family” from Table 4 reporting requirements, and correction of the vehicle survey reference to reflect its relocation to the 9 Series of amendments to UN R83.

Proposal to remove the provisions relating to manipulation devices and manipulation strategies that are being moved to UN R154 and clarify that in-service conformity checks for electric range of pure electric vehicles at low temperatures are optional.

Proposal to enable the approval of vehicles equipped with an Automated Driving System under this Regulation.

Proposal to introduce in-service conformity requirements for system power.
