8. The expert from OICA also proposed clarifications and corrections for UN Regulation No. 51 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/20 as amended by GRBP-82-07, GRBP-82-22, GRBP-82-23). GRBP adopted these proposals as part of draft Supplement 11 to the 03 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 51 and agreed to freeze it for the time being, awaiting other amendment proposals before transmission to WP.29 and AC.1.
21. The Task Force on Automated Vehicles Regulation Screening (TF AVRS) reported on their activities (GRBP-82-16) and presented updated amendment proposals to UN Regulations Nos. 28, 51, 138, 141 and 165 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/21 as amended by GRBP-82-11-Rev.1, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/22 as amended by GRBP-82-12, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/23 as amended by GRBP-82-13, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/24 as amended by GRBP-82-14, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/25 as amended by GRBP-82-15-Rev.1).

GRBP adopted the above proposals and requested the secretariat to submit them to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration and vote at the March 2026 or June 2026 sessions, as appropriate and possibly in one package with similar amendments prepared by other WP.29 subsidiary Working Parties (GRs). GRBP also adopted updated Guidelines of TF AVRS (GRBP-82-17) and noted that its remaining amendment proposals to UN Regulations Nos. 64 and 142 would be submitted to the next session.
7. The IWG RD-ASEP Subgroup on UN Regulations Nos. 51 and 138 reported on their activities (GRBP-83-08-Rev.1) and introduced GRBP-83-09-Rev.1 proposing to amend ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2026/4. The representative of France acknowledged the good progress achieved, for example by requiring drivers to activate the device; he wondered about how to deal with artificial sound for speed > 80km/h, and its potential inclusion in the guidance document being prepared. He requested to be included in any task to update the provisions in the future. The representative of Germany confirmed a new version of GRB-68-03 was planned, providing guidance for speeds not covered by the current text.
8. GRBP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2026/4 as amended by GRBP-83-09-Rev.1.
9. Given the adoption of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2026/4 as amended by GRBP-83-09-Rev1, the representative of OICA withdrew ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2026/14 from consideration by GRBP.
11. The representative of OICA introduced GRBP-83-29, showing the status of amendments to UN Regulation No. 51. He later introduced GRBP-83-41, consolidating all adopted changes (see paras 6. to 9. above) to the 03 Series of Amendments to UN Regulation No. 51. GRBP adopted GRBP-83-41 and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration and vote at the June 2026 sessions as draft Supplement 11 to the 03 Series of Amendments to UN Regulation No. 51.
55. The representative of ETRTO introduced GRBP-83-42, later merged into GRBP-83-11-Rev.1.
56. GRBP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2026/2 as amended by GRBP-83-10, as a draft new supplement to UN Regulation No. 64, and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2026/3 as amended by GRBP-83-11-Rev.1 , as a draft new supplement to UN Regulation No. 142. GRBP requested the secretariat to submit them to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration and vote at the June 2026 sessions, reminding the proposals on AVRS adopted during the last session of GRBP (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/80, para. 22).
57. The Chair asked if proposals on ADS were to be expected in the future now that all relevant UN Regulations has been amended to include ADS. The Chair of the TF AVRS confirmed amendments proposals should be expected in the future.
