Agenda item 4.6.3. Proposal for Supplement 4 to the 00 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 124 (Replacement Wheels for Passenger Cars)

Proposal to clarify the text:

Clarify Annex 4 and exclude aluminum-alloy and magnesium-alloy wheels under test (b)
Clarify Annex 6 to exclude deformation of the wheel
assembly and fractures in the area of a rim section struck by the face plate of the
striker from failure criteria
require under Annex 6 to identify cracks occurred as a result of the test by using a suitable technical test
Clarify Annex 8 with regard to air leakage.

30. The expert from the Russian Federation introduced a revised proposal that clarified certain provisions (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2024/19). GRBP adopted the proposal and requested the secretariat to submit it for consideration and vote at the March 2025 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1 as draft Supplement 4 to the 00 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 124. During the adoption, the expert from the Netherlands reserved his position.
