UN R46: Proposal for a 07 series of amendments

Proposal from the task force on UN R46 to address pure Class 1 monitor positioning relative to driver wearing bifocal eyeglasses, requirements for surveillance cameras (including definition of “Surveillance camera-monitor-recording device”), approval marking for devices with more than one field of view, provisions on obstruction of the field of view, provisions for the rounding of the magnification factors, clarification of provisions to avoid conflict with ADR rules, clarification of external surface, radius of curvature requirement on the backside of Class I mirrors, and corrections to the text.

10. The expert from Germany introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2024/40, clarifying that the document was not ready for adoption and needed further Task Force discussion. GRSG agreed to defer discussion of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2024/40 as well as GRSG-128-06, amending it, to its April 2025 session.
