Proposal to amend para. 6.5.4. to clarify control of cleaning devices when an ADS feature is active, modify manual control requirements for vehicles of categories X and Y, and specify automatic activation requirements when cleaning devices are required under UN Regulation No. 48, and insert a new footnote 4 defining ADS as specified in the Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles (R.E.3.), document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/78/Rev.8.
UTAC is an automotive test and development center located in Linas-Montlhry, approximately 30 minutes from Paris Orly Airport. The organization operates multiple proving grounds globally, including facilities in Mortefontaine, Millbrook, Finland, and Oued Zem, with over 70 kilometers of test tracks across locations. UTAC provides event and training spaces, including a main modular venue called Le 1924 and a VIP Motul meeting room, alongside specialized testing capabilities for autonomous vehicles, connected vehicles, and electric vehicle development.
DSSAD data, whether stored on or off the vehicle, shall be readily available and retrievable through an electronic communication interface that complies with a publicly available standard, with internationally recognized standards recommended to promote interoperability. Data elements concerning activation and deactivation of the feature shall be available via the vehicle’s information display or user interface where controls related to manual performance of the DDT are provided, with access to timestamps subject to restrictions ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
