30. The expert of GTB introduced an updated proposal with the aim to allow for projection of driver assistance symbols, on the road ahead of the vehicle, as part of the adaptive driving beam. This proposal was submitted in a package with an amendment to UN Regulation No. 149 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2021/18, GRE-85-20). The experts from Japan and SAE suggested several modifications (GRE-85-25 and GRE-85-32). The expert from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland pointed out challenges for the type approval authorities when approving the driver assistance projections. 31. GRE adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2021/18, as amended by GRE-85-33 and subject to removal of square brackets, and requested the secretariat to submit it for consideration and vote at the June 2022 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1 as part of draft Supplement 16 to the 06 series of amendments, of draft Supplement 3 to the 07 series of amendments, of draft Supplement 1 to the 08 series of amendments and of the draft 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 149. 30.
