Agenda Item 11. | UN Regulation No. 127 (Pedestrian safety)
GRSP may also wish to consider a proposal prepared by the experts of the drafting task force to align the UN Regulation with the provisions of the revised General Safety Regulation of the European Union with appropriate transitional provisions, and to make minor adaptations and clarifications to the existing requirements (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2020/9).
GRSP may wish to resume discussion based on a proposal tabled by the expert from Germany which clarifies different interpretations of vehicle configuration testing in the presence of active suspensions (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2019/18) and is complemented by proposed transitional provisions.
GRSP-67-07 | UN R127: Proposal for the 03 series of amendments (OICA)
Document Title: UN R127: Proposal for the 03 series of amendments
Document Reference Number: GRSP-67-07
Counter-proposal to document GRSP/2019/18 to address pedestrian safety and active suspensions (a system which could change the vehicle height while driving (up to a defined driving speed, e.g. up to 39 km/h)). Since the vehicle height has an influence on the headform test area (WAD) and on the test results for legform tests, all possible vehicle heights up to a driving speed of 11.1 m/s (40 km/h) should be considered to be relevant for impact with a pedestrian.
