GRVA agreed to resume consideration of a proposal tabled by the expert from Germany aimed at reintroducing in UN Regulation No. 157 (Automated Lane Keeping System) provisions making the relevant Contracting Parties (respectively Type-Approval Authorities) aware of an upcoming market introduction of the system within their jurisdiction and providing for the possibility to obtain further information from the granting Type-Approval Authority and/or the manufacturer.

GRVA/2026/12 UN R157: Proposal for amendments

GRVA agreed to resume consideration of a document tabled by the expert from the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), proposing to require the upload to the secure internet database “DETA” of information received from the manufacturer regarding any remedial action addressing an Automated Lane Keeping System design, consistent with the corresponding provisions of UN Regulation No. 171 (DCAS).
