Proposal for Supplement 1 to the 01 series of amendments to Regulation No. 39
Proposal to allow for the approval of speedometers and odometers that enable drivers to display figures either in km/h or mph (but not both simultaneously). The proposal also clarifies the application of the provisions across the category L vehicle subcategories.
This proposal (WP.29/2017/11) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-six Contracting Parties out of the 45 applying UN R39 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-six voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
