Proposal to remove the prohibition on use the Unique Identifier per the WP.29 decision to change the default application of the UI from a requirement (requiring prohibition in cases where UI does not apply) to a permission (requiring an affirmative statement that UI may be used under a Regulation) and to allow the use of talcum for the dust resistance test as an alternative to dry quartz.

This proposal (WP.29/2025/122) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-nine Contracting Parties out of the 52 applying UN R16 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-nine voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
