UN R13: Proposal for a Supplement 8 to the 12 series of amendments

Proposal to:
Clarify that only one braking control (e.g., service braking control, parking brake control) shall be used for each test condition of the secondary braking effectiveness and permit the selection of the braking control based on the vehicle load condition, and
Establish definitions for “e-axle”, “e-axle trailer” and “dynamo function” and provisions for the approval of e-axle trailers with regard to their “dynamo function”.
This proposal (WP.29/2026/13) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-four Contracting Parties out of the 54 applying UN R13 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-four voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
