Viet Nam acceded to the 1958 Agreement on 23 July 2023. The Agreement and its regulations entered into force for Viet Nam from 24 September 2023. Under its accession, Viet Nam declared that it would not be bound by any UN Regulations established under the Agreement and that it would not be bound by reciprocal recognition of approvals (i.e., invoked Article 11 of the Agreement).
