Proposal for Supplement 5 to the 07 series of amendments to Regulation No. 83
Proposal, subject to endorsement by the GRPE during its January 2017 session, to permit Contracting Parties applying UN R83 and GTR No. 15 (WLTP) to refuse type approvals granted under UN R83 as an alternative to compliance with their national/regional legislation from the date of entry into force of Supplement 5 to the 07 series of amendments to UN R83.
This proposal (WP.29/2017/43) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-four Contracting Parties out of the 44 applying UN R83 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-three voted in favor with zero against and one abstaining.
