Proposal to modify UN R125 in line with the amendment to UN R46 (indirect vision) that introduces the use of camera-monitor systems (CMS) in place of rear-view mirrors. This proposal also ends the temporary exemption permitting CMS device obstruction of driver field of view from 1 September 2021.

This proposal (WP.29/2016/15) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-six Contracting Parties out of the 48 applying UN R125 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-six voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
