Proposal to clarify the camera monitor provisions with regard to the use of image overlays. The current English text can be interpreted to allow overlays only when the vehicle is moving in reverse. In particular, this resulted in an unambiguous translation into French allowing overlays only when the vehicle is in reverse gear. The original intent was to limit overlays to rear views of the vehicle regardless of the moving vehicle direction. Therefore, this proposal clarifies the English and French texts. |
