Proposal based on informal document GRRF-76-21 to remove all references to Annex 10 from Annex 13 by transferring the provisions concerning vehicles with and without anti-lock braking systems to Annex 10.

CLEPA proposed a framework for relating independent regulations on electronic subsystems of braking or steering systems to the primary braking/steering regulations. This proposal revises the wording, focusing on ESC systems with relation to the requirements for complex electronic control systems under Regulation 13-H.

Text prepared by the informal group of experts on Regulation No. 55 to introduce amendments on requirements for movable couplings, increased range of application of remote controls to couplings similar to C50-X and G50-X, possible increase of characteristic values of standard couplings and to include of further requirements on the mounting of couplings.

The expert group on UN R55 submitted document GRRF/2014/14 to update the requirements for mechanical couplings, including a proposal to replace the references to IS0 7641:1983 with ISO 7641:2012. In response to issues raised within GRRF, the experts prepared a new proposal (document GRRF/2014/28). This document would supplement the proposal by providing additional information on the differences between the 1983 and 2012 versions of ISO 7641.

Proposal to introduce general performance guidelines into the annex on automated driver assistance systems in order to set initial safety considerations to guide the commercialization of this emerging technology.

Proposal to clarify braking requirements and to align them with UN R13-H on light vehicle braking.

Change to the proposed text pursuant to agreement within the “LKAS Small Drafting Group” concerning the “means of detecting that the driver is likely to be no longer in primary control of the steering system” and related driver warning method(s).
