Text prepared by Poland and Austria to clarify the possibility of installing on vehicles light-signalling devices which obtained a type approval according to component UN Regulations.

Submitted by Germany proposing to insert provisions for the use of incandescent light sources in the case of light source modules and lamps with non-replaceable light sources. This proposal supersedes document GRE/2012/20 and informal document GRE-68-03.

Submitted by Germany in order to update the Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements.

Italy proposes to introduce into each Regulation dealing with the type approval of lighting or light signalling devices a direct reference to the requirements contained in Regulations 48, 53 and 74, and 86, mandating the lamp manufacturers to apply them to obtain type approvals.
