72. The Co-Chair of the IWG on EVE presented the status report introducing the latest activities of the group (GRPE-94-45). She also introduced GRPE-94-44 as updated terms of reference for the IWG on EVE. The representative of the US informed he stepped down from the co-Chair position and thanked the IWG on EVE for the productive and collaborative spirit over his tenure as Chair and co-Chair. GRPE thanked the representative of the US for his contributions as Chair and co-Chair of the IWG on EVE over the years. GRPE adopted GRPE-94-44 as updated ToRs for the IWG on EVE, with activities scheduled until November 2029.
73. The representative of the Netherlands, Chair of the Fast and Smart Charging (F&SC) cluster, introduced GRPE-94-08, GRPE-94-09 and GRPE-94-53.The representative of Japan and OICA expressed concerns about the inclusion of the charging window from 80% to 100% State of charge in the KPIs, citing potential safety concerns. The Chair of the F&SC confirmed discussions were still on-going and hoped to find a way forward in the near future.
74. The secretariat informed GRPE that E-mobility Europe recently took up the role of secretariat to F&SC, previously performed by UNECE secretariat on a temporary basis.
