The representative of Germany recalled the purpose of GRVA-23-04 and expressed interest in reviewing the finalized corresponding text in the UN Regulation on ADS before further developing the proposal. He presented a revised proposal (GRVA-24-42/Rev.1), which received comments. GRVA agreed to resume consideration of this agenda item at its next session on the basis of an official document that the representative of Germany agreed to prepare.
33. The representative of OICA introduced GRVA-24-36/Rev.1, proposing in consistency with the corresponding provisions in UN Regulation No. 171 (DCAS) to require the upload of information received from the manufacturer regarding any remedial action addressing an ALKS design to the secure internet database “DETA.” The proposal received positive comments. GRVA requested the secretariat to distribute the proposal with an official symbol for consideration at the next GRVA session.
